The Grounds of Alexandria

Since opening its doors in 2012, The Grounds of Alexandria has become one of Sydney’s most popular cafés. The large, industrial space is home to a roastery, a patisserie and a sustainable garden, from which much of the café’s produce is sourced. The menu is brimming with rustic, wholesome options and there’s also plenty for vegetarians and those who prefer gluten-free. If the weather permits, sit outdoors where kids will be kept occupied with a small animal farm, including resident pig Kevin Bacon.
Location
What was once an industrial wasteland has quickly become one of Sydney’s hippest neighbourhoods. With a bevy of great cafés, home-décor stores and sporting facilities, it’s no wonder more and more Sydneysiders are calling Alexandria home. Watch out for queues at the weekend.
