The Nomad Hotel takes its style seriously. From the Beaux-Art facade soaring 12 storeys above the streets of New York’s Flatiron district to the moody, dimly lit lobby, every design feature has a distinctly European feel – particularly the 200-year-old fireplace sourced from a French chateau taking pride of place in one of public spaces.

The rooms and suites – even the 340-square-foot entry-level Classic room – are flooded with light and pleasingly airy, thanks to high ceilings throughout. The king beds are plush, the styling is polished and some suites even come with freestanding bathtubs propped beside the windows.

Meals are served in the intimate atrium and there are several bars and nooks for enjoying a nightcap scattered throughout the hotel – including a two-level library stocked with ample titles to peruse. But if you want to branch out, Eataly and Shake Shack just minutes’ walk away, as well as fine-diner Eleven Madison Park in close proximity.
