Hotel Magnolia Santiago – Hotel Review
A grand family mansion transformed into a characterful 40-room design hotel in Santiago’s historic heart, Hotel Magnolia fuses the Art-Deco glamour of the 1929 building with the eclectic character of the Chilean capital today. A stylish restaurant, intimate lobby bar and sunny rooftop terrace make this friendly hotel much more than a place to sleep, though ambient lighting and beds like clouds all but guarantee you’ll drift off easily.
Where is Hotel Magnolia?
On a leafy street just steps from historic hilltop park, Cerro Santa Lucía, the hotel’s El Centro district location is an easy stroll from must-see cultural institutions including the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, as well as the bars and eateries of hip Lastarria. The 17 kilometre drive from the airport takes around 15 minutes by taxi, and there are two metro stations within 500 metres walk from the front door (Bellas Artes on the green line, and Santa Lucia on the red line).
