It’s hard to describe this bar and restaurant. Somehow it’s both sophisticated and as casual as they come. Some people stop by for a glass of wine and snack at the end of the day, others work their way through the short but exquisite menu (don’t set the agenda beforehand and it’s the perfect first-date restaurant). Plenty of time and technique goes into dishes like the calamari sheared into ribbons and served with clams, grapefruit, oregano and fermented elderflower, and you’ll want to keep ordering the profiteroles stuffed with goat’s cheese, caraway, thyme and a dollop of honey. The wine list is interesting, too, with mainly organic and biodynamic drops sourced from small-batch producers all over the world.
